Great Post on Lvl 70 in Order and Chaos

Been playing awhile now and reached level 70 relatively quickly from questing and the small grind during last few levels. Really enjoying the game despite the continous stream of un-answered issues. Anyway, I have alot of questions, I’d appreciate any feedback, as I shoot them off and add more as I play.

1. Exhaustion – What is it? Does it only apply in “Legendary” mode? How exactly does it work?

2. Arena Points – What are they used for? I believe you can exchange them for equipment? Where can I see this? Is the exchange service similar to the daily collections? Are the amount of arena points you earn per match fixed? Or do they increase with winning? Do you gain points for simply entering arena matches, whether you win or lose? Are there more points for 4v4 versus 2v2? Can you lose arena points other than by spending them?

3. Points Cap – What’s this? How does it work? How does it effect “Arena points”?

4. My character has an equipment spot empty, what appears to be a shirt/armour slot? (3rd down from left), I’ve never found anything to fit this slot, how can I gain equipment for it?

5. 60′s and 70′s Dailies – I’ve been doing these, but would like a better explanation.
a. How often can you do them, once or twice daily? when do they restart, fixed time or upon completion?
b. 60′s dailies earn you soul signet, do you use this to exchange of equipment at the npcs where you get the quests and is this the only thing you do with soul signet?
c. Where is there a max /1500 for soul signet? Does that mean after you’ve earned 1500 you can’t earn anymore? Or you can only have upto 1500 at a time? Can I just gain 1500, spend it then regain another 1500?
d. 70′s dailies – Here you gain mechanical gear, does this simply work the same as soul signet, except you exchange at the npcs in eternal frostland for different gear?

6. I keep hearing people talking about equipment like 2/4 and 1/2 etc.. what is this?

7. I keep hearing people talking about tier 1, 2 and 3 gear. 2 is 60′s dailies and 3 is 70 dailies? If not, what is this and how does the description fit the equipment?

8. There seems to be a number of places to aquire unique equipment, the dailies 60 and 70, arena? and crafting? Is this correct, other than bosses is there anyway else? Do any of these link with one another?

9. Following the above question, how does aquiring special gear combine with crafting when turning purples to legendary?

10. I see alot of acronyms for dungeons, can someone give me the complete list? E.g “ehl”, some of them don’t seem to correspond to the dungeons name, so a list woould be helpful.

11. Pvp points? What are these used for, I mean where you have a pvp score in your character attributes, is it used to exchange for anything like arena points?

That’s all for now, i’ll add more as i remember/play, thanks!

12. Where can I buy teleport wings to different places? I know Greenmont seller has many, and i know, hanging gardens, but what about under realm, frostland?

13. When crafting i noticed somrtimes my craft lvl increases by 1 and other times 2 wy is this? Im currently lvl 85 leather. Does the amount it increasrs when crafting get highrr the higher lvl your akills is or is it always going to go up by 1 or 2 ?

Quite a list, but here we go:

1. Exhaustion – What is it? Does it only apply in “Legendary” mode? How exactly does it work?

Every boss in dungeon gives a certian amount of exhaust. Once you reach 100/100, you cannot run any more dungeon, nor teleport to the next boss (for example in SPL or EHL). The red reset tabs get you back to 0/100.

2. Arena Points – What are they used for?
You can buy equipment for them at the sellers that are present in GM at the 2 Arena places. Check the crossed swords on the map. You can get 6/6 PvP gear, but also weapons and accessories. There is a fixed number of points gained from win, draw and even loosing a game, 4×4 earns you double the amount then 2×2. You only loose points when buying stuff.

3. Points Cap – What’s this? How does it work? How does it effect “Arena points”?
There are 2 caps: the maximum points you can save up, and the maximum number you can get in one day. The last number resets with the yellow tabs you can buy.

4. My character has an equipment spot empty, what appears to be a shirt/armour slot? (3rd down from left), I’ve never found anything to fit this slot, how can I gain equipment for it?
One of the quests in Silence gets you the shirt, don’t recall which one though. Many walk around without :-)

5. 60′s and 70′s Dailies – I’ve been doing these, but would like a better explanation.
a. How often can you do them, once or twice daily? when do they restart, fixed time or upon completion?
They reset once every 24 hrs, I think around 3 or 4 am CET.

b. 60′s dailies earn you soul signet, do you use this to exchange of equipment at the npcs where you get the quests and is this the only thing you do with soul signet?
Both the equipment at said npc’s, and recipes at dungeons. Both pretty useless after the update, though it might be fun to get some epic T1/T2 gear.

c. Where is there a max /1500 for soul signet? Does that mean after you’ve earned 1500 you can’t earn anymore? Or you can only have upto 1500 at a time? Can I just gain 1500, spend it then regain another 1500?
Not sure why, but the cap is there. It is the max you can hold at any given time, but as soon as you spend some you can earn more.

d. 70′s dailies – Here you gain mechanical gear, does this simply work the same as soul signet, except you exchange at the npcs in eternal frostland for different gear?
Indeed, the so called T3 gear. That gear does also need essence of god, which you can craft from the fragments you get at world boss dailies. Every item costs a certain amount of gears plus essences.

6. I keep hearing people talking about equipment like 2/4 and 1/2 etc.. what is this?
In general it is used for the number of epics in a set, though with the latest gear (T3) people tend to say: I am 4/6, where they mean they have 4 of the 6 possible gears to wear. You also hear, for example, 4/4 T2, in that case people mean the epic accessories at T2 level (those you buy with souls).

7. I keep hearing people talking about tier 1, 2 and 3 gear. 2 is 60′s dailies and 3 is 70 dailies? If not, what is this and how does the description fit the equipment?
T1 gear: also called Rune gear. The first real set that was available in game and could be crafted to epic (hence T1). The set is for sale in GM, and drops in Relics Key dungeon. Recipes and essences drop in RKL, KPL and ETL. Recipes can be purchased in Auction House very cheap these days.
T2 gear: The gear dropping only in both Sailen dungeons and EHL. This is the second set that could be crafted into epic, hence the name T2. Needed to epic this are many many souls for recipes, and many essences of Saithion.
T3 gear: The latest set, for level 70. Only to be acquired by doing your dailies. Not yet upgradeable to epic.

8. There seems to be a number of places to aquire unique equipment, the dailies 60 and 70, arena? and crafting? Is this correct, other than bosses is there anyway else? Do any of these link with one another?
Well mostly see above I guess.

9. Following the above question, how does aquiring special gear combine with crafting when turning purples to legendary?
So far the only legendary items are Lava weapons. First you need a lava weapon, a very rare drop from GSL, SPL or EHL dungeons. Or, use a lot of money in lottery. Then you need a load of lava cores (drops in same dungeons), flaming hearts (purchase for souls or in AH), and bloodminerals, to upgrade the item. Then you need a Sigil, which drops in EHL, and perform the quest from that Sigil (meaning kill a version of the second boss in EHL on steroids). Quite a long way to go.

10. I see alot of acronyms for dungeons, can someone give me the complete list? E.g “ehl”, some of them don’t seem to correspond to the dungeons name, so a list woould be helpful.
RKL=Relics Key
KPL=Knahswahs Prison
ETL=Eristar Temple
GSL=Sailen: The Lower City
SPL=Sailen: The Palace
EHL=Eidolon’s Horizon

11. Pvp points? What are these used for, I mean where you have a pvp score in your character attributes, is it used to exchange for anything like arena points?
As far as I know, nothing

12. Where can I buy teleport wings to different places? I know Greenmont seller has many, and i know, hanging gardens, but what about under realm, frostland?
Greenmont dude sells all teleporter wings up to the Rift. For Under Realm wings go to Coldring Castle, for Frostlund wings to Cave to Under Realm.

13. When crafting i noticed somrtimes my craft lvl increases by 1 and other times 2 wy is this? Im currently lvl 85 leather. Does the amount it increasrs when crafting get highrr the higher lvl your akills is or is it always going to go up by 1 or 2 ?
Always by 0,1 or 2. So it might get worse, as sometimes you need to make 3 items to get 2 points for example. Why? Probably because they want you to buy the slabs.

Thank you. Very very helpful.

14. Can T1/2/3 gears be traded or are they all bound?

You are most welcome. It is nice to be helpful in between complaining to Gameloft about their unprofessional behavior ;)

T1/T2/T3 gears cannot be traded, neither can essences be traded. Most recipes can be traded, though I think there are a few T2 recipes bound on pick up (am not 100% sure about that).

On a side note, what class are you? As far as I know, most classes do not really benefit of T1 and T2 gear too much, and I doubt farming those is still worth it. For healers the T1 set still is pretty valuable as because of the prayer bonus, and the T2 set because of the stamina, but if you have none of the T1 and T2 it might be smarter to focus on T3. Now… if you want to have fun, you can always start running dungeons to gather the earlier gear, but it will be hard to get teams.

I’m a ranger. I find I have ample time to do both dailies so, I tend to fit in 60′s between 70′s just for something to do, I do need to start dungeon running more often.

Might be smart to start a thread in the Discussions forum about gear for a new level 70 ranger, as I am not too savvy about their gear. Probably the epic bow you can buy with gears & essence is the first piece, and after that T3. Maybe some trinklet/ring/necklace from soul vendor still makes sense, but in general the drops from the new continents beat older gear.

I got the bow first. I think the T3 armor is skewed toward assassins. I am rethinking whether I shouldn’t get enough souls to upgrade my blood fog chest and legs. The T3 helm and boots are a must, though.

Just a few things to add:

Every boss in dungeon gives a certian amount of exhaust. Once you reach 100/100, you cannot run any more dungeon, nor teleport to the next boss (for example in SPL or EHL). The red reset tabs get you back to 0/100.

Note that if you receive no drops from a boss, it won’t use up any exhaustion. By that I mean if you literally don’t see the sparkles at all and can’t check which item dropped. This can happen by putting loot quality on epic (if you don’t need all the blue drops anyway).

One of the quests in Silence gets you the shirt, don’t recall which one though. Many walk around without :-)

It’s located at the house in the back in Fallen Leaf. You can also get it from a quest in tanned land. And I think there’s a shirt you can obtain via arena points as well. These items are purely visual and don’t give stat bonuses.

They reset once every 24 hrs, I think around 3 or 4 am CET.

Or 10 PM central time, 11 PM eastern time, 9 PM mountain time, 8 PM pacific time (for you in the United States).

Both the equipment at said npc’s, and recipes at dungeons. Both pretty useless after the update, though it might be fun to get some epic T1/T2 gear.

I would say souls are not useless. Here’s a few reasons why:

1) Wind chaser set, divine breath set, and other equivalent sets for classes are still the best you can get in these areas. At least for divine monks and archers. I haven’t checked the others. So if you don’t have these, souls are useful.
2) T1 and T2 are both viable for some classes (or at least some pieces of T1 or T2 are). By that I mean they are better than new gear alternatives.
3) Some trinkets are still better than new gear alternatives (from souls).
4) Do you think the epic [recipes] for T3 will be purchased with souls? Epic T1 recipes are, Epic T2 recipes are. I think it’s logical that epic T3 will be too. Souls are a dungeon currency, and new dungeons are being added. They’ll likely give souls and those souls will be used for epic T3 gear.

RKL=Relics Key
KPL=Knahswahs Prison
ETL=Eristar Temple
GSL=Sailen: The Lower City
SPL=Sailen: The Palace
EHL=Eidolon’s Horizon

Let’s start calling Sailen: The Lower City what it actually is: SCL. There is no G in here, so let’s stop using a G please… this was just from the good old days. Confusing all the new players now.

Always by 0,1 or 2. So it might get worse, as sometimes you need to make 3 items to get 2 points for example. Why? Probably because they want you to buy the slabs.

Because it works using an experience system. You gain some number of experience, and 1 rank is equivalent to some number of experience. Depending on how much experience you get, you may gain 1 rank, and if you’re close enough to the next rank, you may gain two ranks on the next craft, and if there isn’t enough experience you might gain no ranks.

@Ashley: Thanks for your additions. A few comments:

You do have a point regarding trinklets and other accessories from the soul vendor, especially if you get complete sets (like the wind chaser). Since I refuse to take off my EHL cape, I do not use the set bonus :D

However, I doubt that souls play a role in the rest of the game, regarding new dungeons. Where the level 60 content is based on souls, the level 70 seems to be based on gears and essence fragments. New dungeons will drop gears and/or essence fragments, I guess. In the end we only know as soon as new content is released.

What I would advice now is to gather gears and essence fragments, as T3 will be the best gear in the future, when we are able to upgrade it to epic. Same with T2: the blues **** compared to epic T1, but epic T2 beats epic T1 for most classes. Personally I can’t be bothered with acquiring the T3 though, as I refuse to camp world bosses. Just hoping the future dungeons will drop gears/essences.

As for dungeon names, GSL still is used, even though it does not make any sense. SLC would be more logical, but when I see calls for dungeons it still is GSL. That is why I included that in my list.

Anyway, this is a nice thread!

I’m not so sure about that. Remember how it has been?

T1 was not soul based. You bought it from a merchant with runes or dropped it from RKL (at first you could only buy it with runes). But then the [Epic] recipes were purchased through souls.

T2 was not soul based. You dropped pieces from dungeons. But then the [Epic] recipes were purchased through souls.

T3 is not soul based. You buy it from a merchant. But isn’t it logical to say the [Epic] recipes will be soul based? This is nothing new, this is how it has always worked.

True, I remember my first rune purchase as it was exactly for that: T1 gear :-)

But… this was all when we had a level cap of 60. Soul dailies are based on level 60 as well, so it would surprise me if the upgrade would be with soul-based recipes. Nevertheless it does not hurt to gather the souls if you have the time. Let’s hope we find out soon!

Yes, but perhaps there will be new soul dailies for level 70. Or maybe the dungeons will drop purple soul items (that give +6 souls) guaranteed so that more are gained. Not sure.

Recovering a SQL script

First, save your scripts.

My box crashed and I had an unsaved script in Query Analyzer I’d been working on for a couple hours. When I rebooted and brought Mgt Studio back up, there was no message about “recovered files.” I then looked in C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\My Documents\SQL Server Management Studio\Backup Files\ but alas, no files.

I found when searching this SQL statement and it actually worked. It searches the server’s execution plan cache and returned my code in full from the last time it was executed. Just thought I’d share in case you find yourself in the same position someday.

SELECT execquery.last_execution_time AS [Date Time], execsql.text AS [Script] FROM sys.dm_exec_query_stats AS execquery
CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(execquery.sql_handle) AS execsql
where execsql.text like ‘%MyTable%’
ORDER BY execquery.last_execution_time DESC

(Note I remembered that my query hit the MyTable table in my DB and that seemed like a decent thing to search on, and it was)
